Alu-Edge is similar to the Safe-Edge standard stair nosing, but is produced in an aluminium material.

Alu-Edge is designed for internal applications where aesthetics are an important consideration.

Benefits

Slip Resistant
For the convenience of the customer Alu-Edge is supplied with a 1mm anti slip fibreglass insert strip. This is simply adhered to the profile after it has been fixed to the substrate.

Tapered Back Edge
To ensure a flush fit with the existing substrate and to eliminate the possibility of a trip hazard the product has been designed with a tapered back edge.

High Quality Finish
Alu-Edge is made from high quality aluminium and then powder coated to complete the high quality finish.

High Visibility Colours
Whilst the slip resistant insert is supplied in a separate piece, it has been produced to  match the finish of the aluminium profile thereby providing a contrasting colour.

Easy Installation
Alu-edge is quick and simple to install using either glue and screws to the existing substrate or simply glued in place using a structural adhesive.

Legislation Compliant
The 55 x 55mm profile product meets the requirements of the current Building Regulations and in addition the DDA legislation requirements are also met.

Sizes

As per the standard Safe-Edge range there are two sizes available: the 70 x 30mm for retrospective works; and then the 55 x 55mm version which meets the current Building Regulation requirements.
It can be supplied from stock up to a maximum length of 2400mm or can be cut to size as required in-house.

Colours

Fixing kits are available for all Non-Slip Safety Products.

Type 1: Glue/ screws/ plugs (recommended)
Type 2: Glue only (an industrial/ waterproof glue)
