Overview

This useful product has been designed specifically to fit over traditional round steel ladder rungs to enhance ladder safety by enlarging the surface area for foot contact, and greatly increasing the coefficient of friction due to its integral grit surface. It is constructed from durable chemical resistant fibreglass and is capable of withstanding the busiest of environments. Importantly it will also resist chemical attack from corrosive fluids transferred from the sole of the boot.

Benefits

Safety Shape
Outside ladders are mostly made from solid steel to be strong and long lasting; for these reasons the majority of these have rungs which are round. This unfortunately is generally a poor traction surface for the foot and Safe-Grip with its square top surface offers a much better base surface.

Slip Resistant
Of equal importance to the square shape, Safe-Grip also has an anti-slip top surface for extra grip underfoot.

Chemical Resistance
The Safe-Grip ladder rung covers are resistant to a wide range of chemicals and are perfectly suited for use even in the harshest of environments.

Installation
Safe-Grip is simple to install using a structural adhesive (NonSlip can supply) – this is all that is required to bond Safe-Grip onto the ladder rungs. It is a simple and quick process with an average ladder taking approximately 30 minutes.

Technical

Sizes

The standard Safe-Grip ladder rungs measure either 25mm x 25mm x 25mm or 38mm x 38mm x 38mm and therefore will fit over the majority of industrial ladder rungs. If required Safe-Grip rungs can be cut to specified length free of charge.

It is recommended to bond Safe-Grip rungs to the existing steel rung using a high quality polyurethane structural adhesive.

Rungs required to customer specifications are available however delivery times will be extended.

Colours

Standard Safety Yellow is used for all Safe-Grip sizes.

Slip Resistance
All Non-Slip products made of fibreglass and grit surface have been tested using the pendulum test method which is detailed in the British Standard BS4592-0:2006
