Treadware (Grating)

NON SLIP safety products Treadware is designed to provide the ultimate in reliable performance even in the most demanding conditions. This advanced treadware system is a cost effective alternative to traditional materials where corrosion resistance and long maintenance free life is required. NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available in a choice of top surfaces including a slip-resistant carbon grit finish. The grating also comes in a large variety of shapes and sizes to deal with most applications.

Characteristics of Treadware
Slip Resistant
NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available with a choice of concave or gritted surface finishes. Both offer excellent slip resistant properties and easily exceed the minimum requirements of the "extremely low" potential for slip rating as per the UK Slip Resistant Group Guide 2002.

Impact Resistant
NON SLIP safety products Treadware is very flexible and may be repeatably deflected without causing permanent deformation. Once the load is removed, NON SLIP safety products Treadware will return to its original shape, unlike metallic grating which will remain deformed and require replacement. High energy absorption and flexibility of NON SLIP safety products Treadware makes it impact resistant.

Lightweight
At only 12kgs per square metre (25mm high) and 18kgs per square metre (38mm high), NON SLIP safety products Treadware is very easy to install and requires no heavy lifting or specialist equipment.

Fire Retardant
NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available with a Class 1 flame spread rating of 25 or less and has been tested in accordance with the ASTM E-84 Tunnel Test. Where a higher fire resistance and low smoke generation is required, a Phenolic resin is available.

Corrosion Resistant
NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available in a choice of chemical resistant resins and is perfectly suited for use even in the harshest of environments.

NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available with a concave or grit top surface. Whilst both versions offer excellent slip resistance, the addition of the grit surface will offer a higher degree of wear resistance.

The concave top version is more suited to light foot traffic areas, such as walkways, workstations and platforms etc. The grit top surface will provide a longer term solution where a heaver industrial application is present.

Dimensions and colours
NON SLIP safety products Treadware is available in three different panel sizes and three different thicknesses. All panels can easily be cut down to the required size or shape, without the need of hot work permits or special cutting tools.

Whilst the standard stock colours are green, yellow, and grey any BS or RAL colour is available. (Please note, this may be subject to minimum order quantities and extended lead time.)

TwinGrid walkway treadware
TwinGrid Treadware was developed to address the requirements of the European 15mm ball falling test. The 14mm x 14mm holes prevent objects such as spanners, screwdrivers etc. from falling through to the level below. The smaller holes also make an ideal alternative to the traditional open mesh steel grating normally associated with disabled access ramps.
