There are many types of grating variations available including double grid grating, plain top fibreglass grating, covered top grating, grit top grating, concave grating.

Treadware fibreglass grating has been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 7 and meets the critical performance requirements of Class 1. It is important to note that unlike some other suppliers, Treadware grating fully complies with BS 4592-6:2008 the industrial GRP flooring standard.

Anti Slip Embedded Top Surface
Treadware Moulded Grating incorporates an embedded grit top surface as a standard making it ideally suited for heavy traffic areas. This superb surface easily exceeds the minimum requirements of the ’extremely low potential’ as per the UK Slip Resistant Group Guide 2002 for slip ratings. It should be noted it comfortably offers better slip resistance and long life.

Fire Retardant and Chemical Resistant
Treadware Moulded Grating has been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 7 and meets the performance requirements of Class 1. The grating uses a resin compound during manufacture which means the grating panels are resistant to a wide range of chemicals.

Lightweight and Impact Resistant
Treadware Moulded Grating offers a significant saving in weight over traditional materials such as steel. This clearly makes the product easier to both handle and install, requiring no heavy lifting equipment. The clever construction of the product means that it also offers the added benefit of being extremely tough and impact resistant.

Stock
Standards of delivery are excellent with the warehouse holding on average 3000 panels of various grating panels. 

Non Magnetic and Non Sparking
Treadware Moulded Grating has non-magnetic properties allowing the grating to be used in sensitive installations. It is therefore ideally suited for those installations where gases may be present and which may explode or cause a fire from sparks produced by accidental dropping of tools onto the grating. Treadware can also be used in electronic equipment manufactures plants where magnetic interference is a problem.

Top Surface Finishes
The standard range stocked has a top surface with Embedded Grit being designed to offer higher wear rates resulting in longer slip resistance. The other top surfaces available on request are: Concave Top, Covered Top, Plain Top, Standard Grit Top, Checker Plate Top. Contact the office to discuss your requirements.

Colours
Throughout the range the grating types can be manufactured in any BS or RAL colour where the standard stock colours are Green, Yellow and Grey.

Resin Compound
The standard stock of grating panels are constructed using high grade chemical resistant Isophthalic Polyester resin. The resin includes a UV inhibitor and be fire retardant to the requirement as set out in the BS 476: Part 7 Class 1 Rating. Other resin compounds are also available as well as phenolic resins for increased fire retardant properties. For different resin compounds contact the office.

Slip Resistance
All Non-Slip products made of fibreglass and grit surface have been tested using the pendulum test method which is detailed in the British Standard BS4592-0:2006
